This is a list of people who have either used the media to their advantage in 2009 or, on the flip side, mangled their opportunities with the media. There were many people who straddled both lists. Some of the people above have done things to earn being on both lists. The determining factor was the outcome of their media story or the evidence pushing them in one direction.

-You must have made major headlines in 2009
-Death does not count as criteria for one of the lists
-If your positives and negatives outweigh each other, you won’t make the list
